PhilaMOCA hosts the Philly Premiere of the new documentary on cult musical sensation Jan Terri! Post-screening Zoom Q&A with Jan!

As a child, Jan would dance and sing for anyone who would listen. As a teenager, she began writing and performing her own songs. In her 20’s and 30’s, she used the income from her job as a full-time limo driver to hire a freelance music producer and videographer to help her bring her songs and unorthodox DIY music videos to life. The fact that her most popular YouTube video was given the title “Worst Music Video Ever” didn’t dampen her spirit. Her fanbase grew to include such luminaries as Marilyn Manson and Cynthia Plaster Caster. Jan’s creative output continues to this day to include a new album, a children’s book, and even a cookbook.

30 years in the making, and with Jan‘s full cooperation, this film includes both newly shot interviews and footage dating back to the 90’s filmed by close friends and collaborators, offering a truly inside look at this fascinating character.
